Statement of Purpose and Emphasis
Adopted April 9, 1984*

The purpose of St. Paul Church is to be a community of faith in Christian ministry to its own congregation and to the wider community, sensitive to the historic purposes and practices of the Wesleyan tradition. We seek to emphasize:
  • traditional, spiritual worship of God;
  • Christian education program for all ages, with particular emphasis on children and youth, that fosters spiritual growth, Biblical knowledge, and Christian values;
  • the development and maintenance of a loving Christian community open to all who seek its fellowship and mutual support;
  • ministry to those in need beyond the local church, with emphasis on active involvement and service to the Fairbanks community;
  • active, responsible participation by the laity in all aspects of congregational life; and
  • simplicity in facilities, programs, and worship.
    .
